The Department Service Foundation is the cornerstone for all of AMVETS Department of D.C.'s programs, including community outreach, ROTC, Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and more. Monies from the foundation is the sole source of funding for these programs. The foundation has 501(c)19 status, so that all private donations are tax-deductible. We also accept gifts of land and buildings that are located within the District of Columbia.
